What to do this weekend? I could stay home and work on my project for Art and Creativity class. I could go to the movies and see Pirates of the Caribbean. I could go to Universal Studios or MGM Studios. I could go to Wal-mart and get my pictures developed. I could go grcoery shopping and buy cat food. I need to do some of these things. I could do almost all of them! Hmmmmmmmmm.

I got an A on my last project which was to write a children’s book. I called it My Little Rat, and it was a story about my dear cat Sashi, who is very naughty. I call him Little Rat a good deal of the time. But he is adorably cute, too! Anyway, the professor liked the story, especially the surprise ending. At least, Sashi is more interesting to write about. I could write a book about Shanti, but there wouldn’t be much to tell. All she does is chase glitter balls.

Although I love my job, and I am having fun there right now, I do miss summer vacations. Those carefree days when I had no responsibilities and nothing to do but whatever I wanted. For eleven beautiful weeks, I was free as a bird. I really miss that. I miss going to summer camp, and spending a few weeks in DC with Rachel, and having endless hours of reading and playing and going to the mall or the movies. Now that I live in the Orlando area, I could be using that time to explore all the places to go around here. Of course, I do Disney all the time since I get in free. But I have only been to Universal once and that was ten years ago! I have only been to Sea World once. I’ve never been to Islands of Adventure or the Holy Land, or Busch Gardens. (Well, technically I went to Busch Gardens when I was four, but all I remember is petting the goats at the petting zoo and being too small to go on the rides.) I could be exploring the actual city. So much to do, no time at all. And I have a million books I want to read, and a ton of movies I want to see, and sometimes, I just want to do nothing.

Ah, the good old days.
